Mavin Records, Africa’s leading entertainment company, has appointed Nkasiobi Chukwu, an acclaimed innovator at the intersection of technology and creativity, to head its Marketing and Communications Division.

Chukwu, who previously produced and was the driving force behind Africa’s first AI-powered music album at Wakati Media, brings a decade of experience in creative direction, marketing communications, and business development strategy.

He is widely recognised for blending technology with cultural expression. He created “Mya Blue,” a virtual singer who prominently featured in the groundbreaking AI album that earned international media attention, including features on CNN, BBC, and CGTN Beijing.

Known for his passion for digital storytelling and innovation, Chukwu has been a leading advocate for the use of artificial intelligence, interactive media, and immersive technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality to transform how creative content is developed and consumed. His new role at Mavin is expected to amplify the label’s global presence and foster deeper connections between music, technology, and culture.

Speaking about his new role, Chukwu said, “I’m thrilled to be joining the Mavin family to lead marketing and communications. I look forward to collaborating with an amazing team to drive innovative global solutions as we continue to shape the sounds of this generation and scale the creative industry from this side of the world.”
